2025 Missouri Valley Long Course Age Group Championships 

Dates: July 31 – August 3, 2025

Location: Shawnee Mission Aquatic Center, Lenexa, KS

Entry Deadline: Sunday, July 27 at 11:59 PM CDT

Facility Information

• 50m x 25y pool, 2 bulkheads, 25y warm-up/cool-down pool

• Minimum depth: 7ft | Max depth: 13ft

• Digital scoreboards, Swiss Timing system

• Admission: $15/session or $40/weekend (13+), Free Thursday

• Deck Access: Swimmers, credentialed coaches/officials/volunteers only

Fees

• Individual Events: $10 per event

• Facility Surcharge: $20/swimmer

• BSPC Coaches Fee: $20 (in-town, multi-day meet)

Eligibility

• USA Swimming members (Premium or Seasonal)

• Must have Championship or Bonus times for entry

• Bonus Events:

• 11–14: 2 bonus events allowed (must meet bonus cut)

• 10&U: same as above

• Age-Up Rule: 10 or 12-year-olds aging up from Districts to Champs can swim in new age group with prior qualifying times

Championship Meets - What are Time Standards?:

Time standards are specific swimming times that athletes must achieve to participate in certain meets. Key Terms You'll See:

• SCY (Short Course Yards): Times achieved in a 25-yard pool.

• SCM (Short Course Meters): Times achieved in a 25-meter pool.

• LCM (Long Course Meters): Times achieved in a 50-meter pool. This document primarily focuses on Long Course Meters.

• Districts: Qualification standard for district-level swim meets.

• Bonus: A time that allows a swimmer to enter an event if they have already qualified for a "Champs" time in another event. It's often slightly slower than a "Champs" time.

• Champs: The qualification standard for championship-level meets, indicating a higher performance level.

How to Read the Tables:

The document is organized into tables by age group and gender, providing times for different events.

1. Find Your Age Group: The tables are divided into:

   • 10 & Under

   • 11-12

   • 13-14

   • 15 & Overs

2. Locate Your Event: Look for the "Event Name" in the center column. This lists common swimming events like "50 Free," "100 Back," "200 IM," etc..

3. Choose Your Measurement Unit:

   • While SCY and SCM times are listed for reference, the main focus is LCM for long course meets.

4. Identify the Standard You Need: For each event and measurement unit, you'll see columns for "Districts," "Bonus," and "Champs".

   • Girls' standards are on the left side of the "Event Name".

   • Boys' standards are on the right side of the "Event Name".

5. Example: 10 & Under Girls 50 Free

   • To qualify for LCM Champs, a girl needs to swim 41.99 seconds or faster.

   • A LCM Bonus time would be 39.99 seconds.

   • A LCM Districts time would be 43.09 seconds.
