Monthly Practice Fees:
The 2026-27 USA Swimming Season for the Blue Springs Power Cats is just around the corner! As we enter our fourth year as a swim team, our goal remains the same: to provide outstanding coaching in a positive, supportive environment. Through our continued partnership with the Blue Springs School District, we are committed to keeping BSPC the most cost-effective USA Swimming club option in Eastern Jackson County.
To continue providing a high-quality experience while keeping pace with increasing operating costs, monthly practice fees will increase by $10 per month for the upcoming season.
Even with this small adjustment, Blue Springs Power Cats continues to offer one of the best values in competitive swimming, and we remain committed to providing exceptional coaching, athlete development, and opportunities for every swimmer in our program.
Payment Processing Fees:
Similar to last year, all Blue Springs Power Cats payments will continue to be processed through Commit Swimming. Families will be responsible for the payment processing fees charged by our payment processor.
Current Processing Fees:
Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Google Pay): 3.7% + $0.20 per transaction
Bank Transfer (ACH): 1.7% per transaction
Please Note: As in prior years, we are unable to economically process payments by cash or check. All team payments must be made through Commit Swimming using either a credit/debit card or ACH bank transfer.
Monthly Membership Fees:
Card (Visa/MasterCard/Amex/Google Pay): 3.7 % + $0.20 per payment.
Bank transfer (ACH): 1.7 %.
Up-Front Annual Payment Option:
Families may pay the entire 2026-27 season’s practice fees in one lump sum by September 1, 2026, and receive a 10 % discount. The up-front amounts are:
The payment is processed through Commit Swimming and carries the standard processing fee (3.7 % + $0.20 for card or 1.7 % for ACH). Once submitted, the payment is non-refundable and covers all practice fees for the season—no further monthly Membership Fees will be charged unless the swimmer is promoted to a higher level (more expensive) practice group.
USA Swimmer Membership Registration:
Every Power Cats swimmer must be registered with USA Swimming. Find the section below that applies to your family.
RETURNING Swimmers:
Swimmers who finished the 2026 Summer Season as members of the Power Cats will receive an email with Group Assignments, Practice Info, and a Google Form. The Google Form will allow swimmers/families to confirm their 2026-27 Membership with the Power Cats and also select the level of their USA Swimming Membership.
For most of you, your USA Swimming Membership will expire on December 31, 2026. In November 2026, the Blue Springs Power Cats ADMIN Team will register your swimmer for Premium Membership (or Flex Membership if your swimmer will not swim in meets). You will be charged for your 2026 USA Swimming Registration Fee at that time.
Premium Membership (year-round expires 12/30/27) – $82
Flex Membership (only for swimmers who are 12 years old or younger) for $30 (expires 12/31/2027) - eligible for up to 2 meets through 12/31/2027.

USA Swimming Membership Choices:
Signing up for any of these USA Swimming membership plans will make your swimmer immediately eligible to begin practicing with the Power Cats:
Premium Membership for $82 (expires 12/31/2027) - eligible for ALL meets through 12/31/2027.
Season 1 Membership for $50 (expires 02/05/2027) - eligible for ALL meets through 02/05/2027.
Flex Membership (only for swimmers who are 12 years old or younger) for $30 (expires 12/31/2027) - eligible for up to 2 meets through 12/31/2027.
Which USA Swimming Membership should you sign up for?
While all memberships allow swimmers to immediately begin practicing and compete in up to two meets, Premium Membership offers the best value for those who plan to swim the entire year and compete in swim meets throughout the 2026-27 season. If your swimmer plans on competing in meets, it's best to select the PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP.
Once you do this, you will officially be registered with the Blue Springs Power Cats and USA Swimming. All members of the team are required to register with USA Swimming.
If you are transferring memberships from a previous USA Swimming / Missouri Valley team, please initiate that process by logging in to your USA Swimming Account and clicking the Club Transfer option under My Account on your USA Swimming Account Homepage. Additional Info:
NEW POLICY - Beginning October 1: Administrative Processing Fee
Beginning October 1, 2026, any swimmer who joins the team or returns after taking a break will be charged a $25 Administrative Processing Fee.
This fee helps cover the administrative time required to process new registrations, reactivate memberships, update USA Swimming and Commit Swimming records, assign practice groups, and complete other registration-related tasks.
We appreciate your understanding as this helps offset administrative costs while allowing us to keep our monthly practice fees as affordable as possible.
If you plan to make any changes to your swimmer's participation status (including withdrawing from the team or taking a break), written notification must be received by the 15th of the month prior to the change.
Because monthly billing and roster planning begin immediately after the 15th, families who notify us after that date will be responsible for the following month's practice fees.
Families who choose the monthly payment option must have a valid payment method on file through Commit Swimming.
Monthly practice fees will automatically be charged on the 1st of each month using the payment method saved to your account.
For the start of the season:
September 1: Payment information should be on file.
September 10: Accounts without payment information on file will incur a $20 late fee.
September 20: Swimmers who still do not have payment information on file may be removed from the team.
If you've selected monthly payments and already entered your payment information into Commit Swimming, you're all set! There is nothing else you need to do. Thank you for taking care of this before the season begins.
